Product Description
It is a cement-based, one-component waterproofing material applied to concrete surfaces, which reacts with water and forms a crystalline structure.

Application Instructions
Surface Quality: Surfaces must be clean, smooth, sound, and free from all dust, oil, dirt, rust, form-release oil, detergents, and similar substances and residues that may prevent adhesion. If there is segregation in the concrete, defective and loose parts must be removed and weak sections must be eliminated. If there are cracks or cavities in the floor or wall to be treated, they must be repaired using suitable TEKNOREP repair mortars. Application of TEKNOMER 100 should begin 3-4 days later. Ensure that the sloping screed or concrete has been laid in the direction of water flow. The slope should be checked as follows. Place a straightedge from the starting point toward the drain and place a spirit level on top of it. If the inspection shows that there is no slope or that the slope is reversed, application must not be started. The water flow direction must first be corrected by carrying out the necessary work on the concrete or screed. If necessary, additional screed or concrete should be applied.
Surface Preparation: If the surface to be waterproofed is dry, it must be wetted and saturated with water before application. Pour 6.0 - 7.0 liters of clean, clear water at normal ambient temperature into a clean container free from any substances that may prevent adhesion. Add the 20 kg bag of powdered Teknomer 100 into the container filled with water. Mix with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. The mixing time must be at least 5 minutes. At the end of the process, allow the prepared mortar to rest for 3 minutes, then mix again for 2 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
TEKNOMER 100 can be applied in three ways;
•By Brush: On dry floors, dampen the concrete surface until it is saturated with water. The surface may be damp but must not contain standing or pooled water. If water is continuously entering, the leakage or flow must be stopped using TEKNOPLUG. The prepared mixture is then applied to the surface in 2 - 3 coats using a brush. Application can be carried out using a stiff-bristle brush or mechanical spraying method. The first coat should be applied from left to right and the second from top to bottom. The waiting time between coats should be determined as follows: when the concrete surface is inspected by hand, the next coat can be applied if TEKNOMER 100 does not leave a mark on the hand.
•Manual Sprinkling Method: Before pouring the reinforced concrete foundation, TEKNOMER 100 is manually sprinkled over the blinding concrete and reinforcement bars. Depending on the waterproofing requirements, reinforced concrete can then be poured over the TEKNOMER 100. TEKNOMER 100 is added to the concrete mixer at a ratio of 2 - 3% and mixed for 3 - 5 minutes. Preliminary testing is recommended for different applications.
•In the Concrete Mix: TEKNOMER 100 is added to the concrete mixer at a ratio of 2 - 3% of the cement dosage and mixed for 3 - 5 minutes. Preliminary testing is recommended for different applications.
Application Notes / Limitations
The required amount of TEKNOMER 100, determined according to the cement dosage of the concrete in the ready-mix truck, is mixed with approximately 6.0 - 7.0 liters of water by weight in a suitable container using a low-speed drill until a liquid slurry is obtained. The prepared mixture is added to the rotating ready-mix truck. Each batch should contain no more than one bag of TEKNOMER 100 when added to the concrete. To achieve a homogeneous mixture, the concrete should be mixed in the ready-mix truck for approximately 4 - 5 minutes.
•Follow occupational safety precautions. Wear gloves, a mask, and safety goggles when using the product.
•As it is cement-based, do not inhale the powder and avoid contact with skin and eyes.
•Do not apply to wood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, PVC, or metal surfaces.
•Only the specified amount of water may be used in the mixture. Do not add excess water under any circumstances.
•No foreign materials should be added.
•After application, the product must be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong winds, high air temperatures (above +35 °C), rain, and frost. Hands should be cleaned with water and detergent before the product has fully cured and hardened.
•Immediately after application, while the product has not yet hardened, equipment should be cleaned with water. Once the product has hardened, it should be cleaned using mechanical methods.
