Teknomer 200 Semi-Elastic Waterproofing Material

Teknomer 200 Semi-Elastic Waterproofing Material

Teknomer 200 Semi-Elastic Waterproofing Material

Product Description
It is a two-component, semi-flexible waterproofing material consisting of a combination of liquid polymers and special additives.

Areas of Use
•For waterproofing concrete and cement mortar-plastered surfaces in interior and exterior environments,
•For retaining wall and wall waterproofing,
•For non-moving areas of concrete structures,
•For waterproofing wet areas,
•Water tanks, swimming pools, and decorative pools,
•Wet areas such as bathrooms, WCs, and balconies,
•In engineering structures such as metro systems, tunnels, dams, and highways.
•For drywall surfaces, use with Teknolatex 300 adhesion-enhancing primer is recommended.

Properties and Advantages
•Can be used in interior and exterior environments. When applied outdoors, a floor covering must be installed over it.
•Suitable for contact with drinking water.
•Does not shrink or crack.
•Suitable for horizontal and vertical applications.
•Can be used in drinking water tanks as it contains no corrosive or toxic substances.

Application Instructions
Surfaces must be clean, smooth, sound, and free from all dust, oil, dirt, rust, form-release oil, detergents, and similar substances and residues that may prevent adhesion. If there is segregation in the concrete, defective and loose parts must be removed. If there are cracks or cavities in the floor or wall to be treated, they must be repaired using suitable TEKNOREP repair mortars. Application of TEKNOMER 200 should begin 3-4 days later. Ensure that the sloping screed or concrete has been laid in the direction of water flow. The slope should be checked as follows.
Place a straightedge from the starting point toward the drain and place a spirit level on top of it. If the inspection shows that there is no slope or that the slope is reversed, application must not be started. The water flow direction must first be corrected by carrying out the necessary work on the concrete or screed. If necessary, additional screed or concrete should be applied. If the surface to be waterproofed is dry, it must be wetted and saturated with water before application. Sharp corners and edges should be formed with TEKNOREP thick repair mortar. In wet areas and balconies where ceramic tiles will be installed, TEKNOMER CORNER TAPE should be applied to all corners beforehand.

After TEKNOMER 200 has been thoroughly mixed and allowed to rest, it should be applied to the water-saturated surface using a brush and/or trowel before the surface loses its moisture. After the material has initially set, the second coat should be applied perpendicular to the first coat. When applying over screed, flexible waterproofing mesh must be used between the coats. The waiting time between coats is determined by the following: the next coat can be applied when a manual check confirms that no mark is left on the fingers after touching the first coat.

Pour the liquid B component of TEKNOMER 200 into a clean container free from any substances that may prevent adhesion. Then slowly add the powder TEKNOMER 200 A component. Mix the product with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. The mixing time must be at least 5 minutes. At the end of the process, allow the prepared mortar to rest for 3 minutes, then mix again for 2 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
