It is an elastomeric modified bitumen-based, cold-applied, self-adhesive, multi-purpose waterproofing tape.

AREAS OF USE
BTM Bitüself Waterproofing Tape is suitable for a wide range of repair and waterproofing applications.
It can be used on interior and exterior parts of structures, metal and other roofs, building cracks,
chimney-wall junctions, eaves and ridge joints, for the waterproofing and repair of wood, metal, glass, plaster, concrete,
cement, brick, roof tiles and asphalt-based materials, around roof windows and chimneys, on railings, and for shingle details.
It is also used in the automotive, elevator, and caravan manufacturing industries.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The application surface must be dry and clean. All loose particles,
form-release oils, residues, paint, rust, and other poorly bonded materials
must be cleaned and removed from the surface. Metallic, plastic, and similar surfaces should be cleaned using a suitable solvent.
BİTÜSOL or BİTÜMER primer should be applied to rough and absorbent surfaces such as concrete, plaster, and particleboard,
and allowed to dry completely.
APPLICATION METHOD
The surface on which the BTM Waterproofing Tape will be applied must be dry and clean. All loose
particles, form-release oils, residues, paint, rust, and other poorly bonded
materials must be cleaned and removed from the surface. Metallic, plastic, and similar surfaces
should be cleaned using a suitable solvent. BİTÜSOL or BİTÜMER primer should be applied to rough
and absorbent surfaces such as concrete, plaster, and particleboard, and allowed to dry completely.
At low temperatures, the tape should be applied by heating it to improve adhesion performance.
PACKAGING
BTM Waterproofing Tape BİTÜSELF is supplied in rolls measuring 10 m in length and 10, 15, 20, 30, or 60 cm in width.
STORAGE CONDITIONS AND SHELF LIFE
The shelf life of BTM Waterproofing Tape is 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored in its original, unopened and undamaged packaging, under dry conditions,
protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
