Product Description
Elastic, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) based, polyester mesh carrier, 120/70 mm wide elastic joint insulation tape used in the insulation of construction joints.
Areas of Use
• Under tiles and ceramics in interior spaces,
• Before tile, ceramic and water insulation applications in wet environments such as pools, water tanks, bathrooms, WCs,
• In pipe inlet-outlet application details such as water tanks, pools,
• Between layers of sliding-based water insulation materials in wet areas, balconies, terraces,
• Between layers of ceramic adhesives,
• Insulation of dynamic (moving) cracks and cold joints formed in floorings and curtains is used.
Features and Advantages

Application Instructions
Surface Preparation: The application surface must be cleaned from all kinds of substances that prevent adhesion such as dust, oil, paint, silicone, curing agent, detergent.
Application Notes / Limitations
• Water insulation material suitable for the application area and environmental conditions must be selected. Before the waterproofing material is applied, TEKNOMER Chamfer Tape is cut by measuring it according to the application area and stored ready for application.
• After the first layer of the coating-based waterproofing material is applied, TEKNOMER Chamfer Tape is laid on cold joints, corners and
horizontal-vertical joints and dynamic cracks. The first layer of insulation should be applied a little more in order for the chamfer tape to be embedded in the
waterproofing material.
• Chamfer tapes can also be applied to concrete surfaces with ceramic, granite-ceramic adhesives, acrylic adhesives.
The joint ends of the chamfer tape are heated with a soldering iron until the PVC softens and then they are stacked on top of each other for min. 10 cm
and pressed to ensure adhesion.
• In this way, continuous and uninterrupted insulation is provided. Afterwards, a second layer of water
insulation material should be applied on the TEKNOMER Pah Tape, completely covered and the insulation should be terminated.
• After application, make sure that the pah tape is completely covered. Do not approach with flames. In case of fire
splash on the product, wash it with water jet and extinguish the fire by applying foam. It is not recommended in environments with high
temperatures.
• After application, it should be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (over +35°C), rain and frost. Before the product fully cures and hardens, hands should be cleaned with water and detergent.
