Teknomer 100 Crystallized Waterproofing Material
Teknomer 100 Crystallized Water Insulation Material
Product Description
It is a cement-based, single-component, water insulation material applied to concrete surfaces, forming a crystalline structure,
reacting with water.
Areas of Use
• Elevator pits,
• Water tanks, swimming and ornamental pools,
• Reinforced concrete pipes,
• In manholes and infrastructure materials,
• In foundations, basement walls,
• In engineering structures such as subways, tunnels, dams, highways,
• It is used in negative and positive water insulation of structures such as basement curtains.
Features and Advantages
• Thanks to its crystallization feature, it effectively prevents water passage from the surface
• Resistant to positive and negative water pressure.
• Easy to use, mixed with plain water and used.
Application Instructions
Surface Quality: Surfaces should be clean, smooth, solid, and free from all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, etc. and waste.
If there is segregation in the concrete, damaged and loose parts should be thrown away, weak parts should be removed.
If there are cracks or holes on the floor or wall where the application will be made, they should be repaired with appropriate TEKNOREP repair
mortars. TEKNOMER 100 application should be started after 3-4 days.
It should be ensured that the slope screed or concrete is applied in the direction of the water flow. The correct
control of the slope is done as follows. A gauge is held towards the drain from the beginning and a scale is placed on it.
If it is determined that there is no slope or that there is a reverse slope as a result of the control, the application should not be started, the concrete,
screed should be processed and the water flow direction should be adjusted. Additional screed or concrete should be poured if necessary.
Surface Preparation: If the surface to be insulated is dry, it should be wetted and saturated with water
and made ready for application. 6.0 - 7.0 lt of clean, clear water taken from normal ambient temperature is put into a clean container that is free of any substances that prevent adhesion. Teknomer 100, which is in a 20 kg bag in powder form, is poured into the container filled with water. The product is mixed with a low-speed mixer until a lump-free
homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixing time should be a minimum of 5 minutes. The mortar obtained at the end of the
process should be rested for 3 minutes and mixed again for 2 minutes until it becomes homogeneous.
TEKNOMER 100 application is done in three ways;
• With a brush: On dry surfaces, the concrete surface is moistened and saturated with water. There may be moisture on the surface, not water
puddles or ponding. If water is constantly coming, leakage, flow
should be stopped with TEKNOPLUG. Then, the prepared mixture is applied to the surface with a brush in 2 - 3 layers. Application can be done with a hard-bristled
brush or mechanical spraying method. The first from left to right, the second from top to bottom
application is completed. The waiting period between layers is as follows. When the concrete floor is checked by hand,
If TEKNOMER 100 does not leave a trace on the hand, the application of the next layer can be started.
• Manual Sprinkling Method: Before pouring the foundation reinforced concrete, TEKNOMER 100 is sprinkled by hand on the lean concrete, over the raft irons. If desired, TEKNOMER 100 is then poured into the reinforced concrete
concrete for water insulation. TEKNOMER 100 is added to the concrete mixer at a rate of 2-3% and mixed for 3-5 minutes. It is recommended to perform a preliminary test for different
applications.
• In concrete mixture: TEKNOMER 100 is added to the concrete mixer at a rate of 2 - 3% of the cement dosage and mixed for 3 - 5 minutes
. It is recommended to perform a preliminary test for different applications.
Application Notes / Limitations
TEKNOMER 100 additive, determined according to the cement dosage of the concrete in the truck mixer, is mixed with approximately 6.0 - 7.0
lt of water by weight in a suitable container with a low-speed drill and turned into a watery grout.
The prepared mixture is added to the rotating truck mixer. Each mixture should be prepared to contain a maximum of one bag of TEKNOMER 100 and added to the concrete. In order to obtain a homogeneous mixture, the mixture in the transit mixer should be
approximately 4 - 5 minutes.
• Follow work safety precautions. Use gloves, masks, and goggles when using the product.
• Since it is cement-based, do not breathe its dust and avoid contact with skin and eyes.
• Do not apply to wood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, PVC, and metal surfaces.
• Only the specified amount of water can be used in the mixture. More water should never be added.
• Foreign materials should not be added.
• After application, it should be protected against adverse weather conditions such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (over +35 °C), rain, and frost. Before the product is fully cured and hardens, hands should be cleaned with water and detergent.
• Immediately after application, before it hardens, equipment should be cleaned with water. After the product hardens, it should be cleaned with mechanical methods.
