Teknomer 200 Semi-Elastic Water Insulation Material
Product Description
It is a two-component, semi-flexible water
insulation material consisting of liquid polymers and special additives.
Areas of Use
• As water insulation on concrete and cement mortars and plastered surfaces in interior and exterior environments,
• For curtain and wall insulation,
• In areas where concrete structures are not mobile,
• For wet area water insulation,
• Water tanks, swimming and ornamental pools,
• Wet areas such as bathrooms, toilets, balconies,
• Used in engineering structures such as metro, tunnel, dam, highway.
• Recommended to be used with Teknolatex 300 adhesion enhancing primer on plasterboard surfaces is made.
Features and Advantages
• It can be used in indoor and outdoor environments. When applied in outdoor environments, a floor coating is required.
• It is suitable for contact with drinking water.
• It does not shrink or crack.
• It is suitable for horizontal and vertical applications.
• Since it does not contain corrosive and toxic substances, it can be used in drinking water tanks.
Application Instructions
Surfaces must be clean, smooth, solid, and free from all kinds of dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold oil, detergent, and similar adhesion-inhibiting substances and waste. If there is segregation in the concrete, damaged and
loose parts must be removed. If there are cracks or holes on the floor or wall where the application will be made, they must be repaired with appropriate TEKNOREP
repair mortars. TEKNOMER 200 should be applied after 3-4 days. It should be ensured that the slope screed
or concrete is applied in the direction of the water flow. The correct control of the slope is done as follows.
A gauge is held towards the drain from the beginning and a scale is placed on it. If it is determined that there is no slope or
a reverse slope as a result of the control, the application should not be started, the concrete and screed should be processed and the water flow direction should be adjusted.
Additional screed or concrete should be poured if necessary. If the surface to be insulated is dry, it should be wetted and saturated with water
and made ready for application. Sharp corners and edges should be chamfered with TEKNOREP thick repair mortar. In wet areas and balconies where ceramics will be applied, TEKNOMER PAH BANDI
should be applied to all corners beforehand.
After TEKNOMER 200 is mixed well and rested, it is applied to the water-saturated surface with a brush and/or
trowel without losing its moisture. After the material has set for the first time, the second layer is applied perpendicular to the first layer application. If application is made on screed, flexible water insulation mesh must be used between layers.
Waiting period between layers; After the application of the 1st layer, when there are no traces left on the fingers in the manual control
you can proceed to the other layers.
First, the liquid B component of TEKNOMER 200 is
emptied into a clean container free of any substances that prevent adhesion. Then, the powdered TEKNOMER 200 A component is slowly poured. The product is mixed with a low-speed mixer
until a lump-free homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixing time should be a minimum of 5 minutes. The mortar obtained at the end of the
process should be rested for 3 minutes and mixed again for 2 minutes until it becomes homogeneous.
