Rockwool Thermal Insulation Board 150 Density 5 cm

Rockwool, also known as rock wool, is obtained by melting minerals and inorganic stones such as basalt,
diabase, dolomite obtained from volcanic rocks at 1400-1500°C and turning them into
fibers. It is a heat and sound insulation material that contains 97 percent natural fiber,
fire-resistant, water-repellent.
Rock wool fiber diameters are 3 – 5 microns and their density is between 40 – 200 kg/m3.

The boards used on exterior facades for heat insulation purposes start from 3 cm thick and
go up to 10-12 cm.

Rock Wool Properties

*Provides heat, sound and fire insulation.
*Thermal conductivity coefficient (λ) is between 0.035 W/mK and 0.040 W/mK.
*It does not produce bacteria thanks to its inorganic structure.
*Its dimensions do not change when exposed to heat and humidity.
*It does not deteriorate, rot, mold, corrode and rust over time.
The saturated structure obtained as a result of special processes applied to all layers of its fibrous structure,
Stonewool acts as a good water repellent, while its vapor
permeability prevents moisture from holding on inside the building.
*Insulated structures with rockwool become healthier and more comfortable.
*Thanks to its long fiber structure, it allows products with smooth edges and surfaces to be obtained in cutting and lamination.
*It plays a major role in fire insulation thanks to its ability to withstand temperatures of 1000˚C.
*It provides sound insulation thanks to the fibers.
*It is a class A1 fireproof material. (TS EN -13501)
