Rock Wool Thermal Insulation Board 150 Density 5 cm

Rock Wool Thermal Insulation Board 150 Density 5 cm

Rock Wool Thermal Insulation Board 150 Density, 5 cm

Also known as mineral wool, rock wool is produced by melting inorganic minerals such as basalt, diabase, and dolomite, which are obtained from volcanic rocks, at temperatures between 1,400-1,500°C and converting them into fibers. It is a thermal and sound insulation material containing 97% natural fibers, with fire-resistant and water-repellent properties.
Rock wool fibers have a diameter of 3-5 microns, with densities ranging from 40-200 kg/m³.

Boards used for exterior thermal insulation applications are available in thicknesses starting from 3 cm and ranging up to 10-12 cm.

Rock Wool Properties

*Provides thermal, sound, and fire insulation.
*Thermal conductivity coefficient (λ) is between 0.035 W/mK and 0.040 W/mK.
*Does not support bacterial growth due to its inorganic structure.
*Does not undergo dimensional changes when exposed to heat and moisture.
*Does not deteriorate or decay over time, and is resistant to mold, corrosion, and rust.
*Thanks to its saturated structure obtained through special treatments applied to all layers of its fibrous structure, rock wool provides good water-repellent performance while its vapor permeability prevents moisture from accumulating within the building.
*Buildings insulated with rock wool become healthier and more comfortable.
*Thanks to its long-fiber structure, it enables products with smooth edges and surfaces to be obtained during cutting and lamination.
*Its ability to withstand temperatures of up to 1,000°C makes it highly effective for fire insulation.
*Provides sound insulation thanks to its fibrous structure.
*A1 class non-combustible material. (TS EN 13501)
